  1. The 3M Aqua-Pure AP717 ice maker water filter needs to be replaced every 6 months
  2. Turn off water to filter
  3. Unscrew nut on both fittings
  4. Pull tubing out of fittings and discard filter
  5. Screw fittings into new cartridges with plumber's tape
  6. Reconnect tubing on both sides
  7. Turn water on
  8. Discard first few trays of ice
