Maximum Filtration
USWF fridge filter carbon blocks are constructed from coconut carbon, and manufactured to a 0.5 micron rating. A 0.5 micron carbon block means the carbon is packed tighter compared to conventional 5 micron carbon blocks, effectively filtering much smaller contaminants. In addition to packing as much carbon as possible into our filters we also use only coconut shell activated carbon. Compared to other forms of activated carbon coconut shell carbon has more surface area and a higher density of micro pores leading to an overall greater porosity. The increased porosity of coconut carbon provides increased adsorption and filtration of volatile organic contaminants which is why it is considered as one of the best materials for water filtration. Not to mention that coconut shells are considered to be the greenest most environmentally friendly sources of carbon available. It is renewable, grows year round, and doesn't harm the trees allowing for a sustainable, continuous source of high quality carbon.

Instructions
- Note: Filter must be pushed firmly into receiver and turned until filter is locked in place. If filter is not locked correctly, water will not flow.
- DO NOT use any tools to install this filter
- Twist the old filter a quarter-turn counterclockwise
- Pull the filter straight down and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically)
- Remove the reusable color-keyed knob from the end
- Discard the old filter
- Slide the knob onto the end of the new filter
- Push the new filter into the fridge until it stops and twist the filter a quarter-turn clockwise, and reset your change filter light (if your fridge has one)
- Flush filter with 3-4 gallons of with water until water runs clear. Some noise is not uncommon as air is purged from the system.
- If filter sets for several days without use, flush a quart of water through the filter to remove stale water from refrigerator water lines
Reset Instructions
- Press the light switch (the one that the refrigerator door presses every time you close the door) 5 times within 10 seconds or if the fridge has a filter button, press and hold it for 5-10 seconds
