PuriClean IV 8212652 Maytag / Whirlpool / KitchenAid Refrigerator Water Filter Cartridge

The Maytag PuriClean IV Refrigerator Ice & Water Filter 8212652 fits Maytag, Whirlpool, and KitchenAid side-by-side refrigerators with a quarter-turn filter located in the grille at the bottom of the fridge.

The 8212652 Filter removes the following impurities from your drinking water:

• 99.35% of Lead at pH 6.5
• 99.31% of Lead at pH 8.5
• 96.70% of Mercury at pH 6.5
• 91.20% of Mercury at pH 8.5
• 99.93% of Asbestos
• 96.30% of Benzene
• 99.70% of P-Dichlorobenzene
• 99.99% of Cysts
• 85.60% of Atrazine
• 92.96% of Toxaphene
• 93.06% of 2,4-D
• 97.60% of Chlorine
• 99.30% of Turbidity
• 99.90% of Particulates (Class I)

As with all built-in refrigerator water filters, the PuriClean 4 does not remove Fluoride

The 8212652 cartridge is tested and certified by NSF International to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI Standards 42 & 53

The PuriClean IV water filter should be replaced every 6 months or when the "change filter" light comes on - whichever comes first.

Installing your new water filter:

1. Twist the old filter a quarter-turn counterclockwise
2. Pull the filter straight out (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically)
3. Remove the reusable color-keyed knob from the end
4. Discard the old filter
5. Slide the knob onto the end of the new filter
6. Push the new filter into the fridge until it stops
7. Twist the filter a quarter-turn clockwise
8. Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one)

Resetting your "change filter" light:

• Press the light switch (the one that the refrigerator door presses every time you close the door) 5 times within 10 seconds.

OR

• If the fridge has a filter button, press and hold it for 5-10 seconds.
