PuriClean III UKF9001AXX Amana / Maytag Refrigerator Water Filter Cartridge

The Amana / Maytag PuriClean III Refrigerator Ice and Water Filtration Cartridge UKF9001AXX fits refrigerators with a long, narrow filter that sits in a "trough" that swings down from the ceiling of the fridge.

The UKF9001AXX is the only built-in refrigerator filter on the market that removes VOCs and MTBE.

The PuriClean 3 Filter UKF9001AXX removes the following impurities from your drinking water:

• 99.30% of Lead
• 96.70% of Mercury
• 99.00% of Asbestos
• 99.99% of Cysts
• 93.20% of Toxaphene
• 99.70% of VOCs (such as Atrazine & Lindane)
• 96.40% of MTBE
• 97.50% of Chlorine
• 98.80% of Turbidity
• 98.10% of Particulates (Class I)

As with all built-in refrigerator water filters, the UKF9001AXX does not remove Fluoride

The UKF9001AXX filter is tested and certified by NSF International to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI Standards 42 & 53

The PuriClean III water filter should be replaced every 6 months or when the "change filter" light comes on - whichever comes first.

Installing your new water filter:

1. Unlatch the plastic filter cover, and let it swing down (so you can see the filter)
2. Twist the old filter a quarter-turn counterclockwise
3. Pull the filter straight out and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically)
4. Push the new filter into the fridge until it stops
5. Twist the filter a quarter-turn clockwise
6. Swing the plastic filter cover up until it snaps closed
7. Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one)

Resetting your "change filter" light:

• Press and hold the dispenser lock and auto light buttons on the dispenser (at the same time) for 4 seconds until the filter status indicator begins to flash, then release the buttons.

• Press the dispenser lock and water buttons for 4 seconds until the filter status indicator begins to flash, then release the buttons.

There's nothing in the PuriClean III filter that can go bad, so it has No Expiration Date... It can live on your shelf for years.
