"I need a black water filter, but the one on your web site is white… can I get the black one instead?" The first time I got this question, I thought to myself… aren’t these base-grille water filters complicated enough? Now we have to start stocking them in black, white, gray, purple, green… where does it end? Then it hit me… the knob! The customer was talking about the little plastic knob that slides onto the end of the filter. You know, the fancy color-matched knob that helps the ugly filter blend in with the rest of the refrigerator grille. They thought the knob was actually part of the filter, not realizing that all they had to do was slide it off the old filter, and onto the new one. Ahh… I wish they could all be that easy. Got a Stinky Fridge that baking soda won’t fix? Kitchen Cabinets looking nasty?
