The PUR Ultimate 3-Stage Faucet Filter RF-9999 is a New and Improved filter that replaces the Obsolete PUR RF-4050.

The PUR RF-9999 fits ALL PUR faucet mounted filter systems including:

The RF-9999 filter also fits the new Delta Simply PUR Single Handle Filtration System.

PUR 3-Stage Filtration Process:

• Stage 1 - Cleans the water: Water is passed through a sediment wrap to reduce dirt, rust, sand, and turbidity.
• Stage 2 - Makes the water healthy: Water is passed through an activated carbon filter to reduce heavy metals (Lead, Mercury), Chlorine and Chlorination By-Products (TTHMs), Microbial Cysts (Cryptosporidium, Giardia), Agricultural Pollutants (such as pesticides), Industrial Pollutants (such as gasoline additives and asbestos)
• Stage 3 - Improves taste: Water is passed through a bed of minerals for a crisp, refreshing taste.

The RF9999 cartridge does not remove Fluoride

The PUR Faucet Filter RF-9999 will filter up to 100 gallons of water, and should last 2-3 months (depending on usage).

Usage Tips:

1. Remember to flush your new filter by running cold water through it for 5 minutes.
2. Run cold water through it for 5 seconds, prior to each use, to activate the filter.
3. In order to get the most from your faucet filter:
• Remember to put it in bypass mode when you’re not planning to drink the water
• Never run hot water through the filter, as it will reduce it’s effectiveness, and may even cause damage

PUR RF-9999 Filter Installation

1. Start by unscrewing the cap, and gently pulling on the old filter cartridge. If it doesn't come out easily, try running a little water through it. A little bit of water pressure should help push the filter right out.
2. Next, open up the new filter package, and look for the arrow on the top of the new filter.
3. Insert the new filter so that the arrow points toward you (the PUR logo on the filter will also point toward you). And make sure the filter is all the way up into the housing - it should be a snug fit.
4. Now that the filter is installed, replace the cap, and you're ready to flush.
5. To flush your new filter, simply run cold water through it for 5 minutes. After that, all you need to do is run the water for 5 seconds prior to each use to activate the filter media.
