You won't need any special fittings, and you definitely won't need a plumber. Installation takes less than 5 minutes.

Installation Instructions:

1. Unscrew your existing showerhead by rotating it counterclockwise until it's free from the shower arm
2. Apply a few wraps of teflon tape* to the threads on the shower arm
3. Screw the shower filter onto the shower arm - tightening it just enough (by hand) to prevent leaks
4. Apply a few wraps of teflon tape* to the threads on the shower filter
5. Screw the showerhead onto the shower filter - again, tightening it just enough (by hand) to prevent leaks

* Teflon tape isn't required, but it may make for a more trouble free, and more leakproof connection.
