Installing the GXRTQ in-line filter kit is a bit tricky, but it's still a do-it-yourself project for most people. The kit includes everything you need to hook up the filter to your refrigerator, including all of the fittings and one filter. Detailed instructions are included with the filter kit. If you're nervous about doing it yourself you could hire an appliance repair company or that guy down the street who is really handy, to do it for you. Once the refrigerator filter kit is installed, changing the filter is easy. The fittings are a quick connect type fitting with a shutoff valve built in, so no tools are required to change the filter (just a bucket to catch drips & flush out the new filter) and you don't even need to shut off the water.
