GE SmartWater MSWF Interior Refrigerator Filter Replacement Cartridge

The GE SmartWater MSWF Cartridge fits GE refrigerators with a round white long slim plastic twist & lock filter, mounted inside the refrigerator in the back upper right corner - above the top shelf.

The MSWF Filter removes the following impurities from your drinking water:

• 99.30% of Lead at pH 6.5

• 99.00% of Asbestos
• 96.80% of Benzene

• 98.70% of Carbofuran
• 99.00% of Lindane
• 92.90% of Toxaphene
• 96.00% of 2,4-D
• 97.00% of Chlorine
• 96.50% of Turbidity
• 95.50% of Particulates (Class I)

As with all built-in refrigerator water filters, the MSWF does not remove Fluoride

The MSWF cartridge is tested and certified by NSF International to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI Standards 42 & 53

The SmartWater Filter MSWF should be replaced every 6 months or when the "change filter" light comes on - whichever comes first.

Installing your new water filter:

1. Twist the old filter a half-turn counterclockwise, but do not pull down on the cartridge while twisting
2. Pull the filter straight down and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically)
3. Fill the new filter with water (you can use the cold water faucet on your kitchen sink)
4. Push the new filter gently up into the fridge until it stops
5. Twist the filter a half-turn clockwise (until it stops)
6. Dispense 1 or 2 gallons of water from the dispenser to clear the system and prevent sputtering
7. Reset your "change filter" light

Resetting your "change filter" light:

• Refrigerators with LCD screens: Press the "Filter Replaced" button.
• Refrigerators without LCD screens: Press and hold the "Reset Filter" button on the dispenser for 3 seconds.

There's nothing in the MSWF filter that can go bad, so it has No Expiration Date... It can live on your shelf for years.
