Unlike simple timers and ineffective conventional filter life indicators, the Filtrete FAP02-RS Ultra Clean Air Purifier is equipped with a state-of-the-art filter life analyzer that constantly measures the amount of particles captured by the filter.

How do I know when to change my Filtrete Air Purifier filter?

1. Set the fan at it's highest speed
2. The Yellow, Green, and Red lights in the center of the speed control knob will flash for 10 seconds as the filter life analyzer measures the quantity of particles in the filter
3. After 10 seconds, one of the three lights will stay on...
   • A green light means the filter is good
   • A yellow light means the filter has only 20% life remaining - time to order a replacement filter
   • A red light means the filter should be changed immediately

How do I remove the used filter and install a replacement filter?

1. Pull the top of the front cover staight out until it releases from the air purifier - and set it aside
2. Remove the used air filter and discard
3. Press the filter change button for 3 seconds to reset (the air purifier must be plugged in)
4. Remove the plastic wrap & paper insert from the new replacement air filter
5. Place the bottom edge of the replacement filter into the filter slot (be sure the arrow is pointing toward the air purifier)
6. Push the top of the new filter into the air purifier until it clears the plastic holding lip
7. Replace the front cover
