Excellant taste and great pressure Review by Jeanne

Be sure to read the instructions when you replace the filter. You must run the water through as instructed or you won't get as good of a result. As soon as the filter was installed I had great tasting water. The most difficult thing is running the water for three minutes and having pitchers to fill for that amount of time. I alternated between 2 and used the discarded water to water plants. We ha (Posted on 2/28/13)
Not compatible with GE SmartWater Fridge Review by UsedToBeaBritaF

The 1st time I used this it was fine. 2nd & 3rd filters would not work in my fridge and stopped the water flow completely&#44 down to a drip. FridgeFilters.com refunded my $$ in full & the GE filter is working perfectly. Definitely recommend the company&#44 but not this filter if you have a SmartWater system. (Posted on 12/5/12)
The best filter ever Review by Grandma6

I have a Brita hot/cold water dispenser as well as water and ice dispensers from my GE fridge. I never drank the water from the fridge when I used the GE smart filters. Now that Brita has fridge filters I don't really need the free standing dispenser. The fridge water is just delicious. (Posted on 7/28/09)
It worked with my GE. Review by Deb the dog lad

It was easy to install but I thought it added a strange taste at first. About 24 hours later&#44 it was normal tasting water coming from it&#44 and the stream was nice in my fridge door water unit. When the filter gets old&#44 it cuts down on the stream of water that you get. (Posted on 6/15/09)
It works&#44 but nothing spectacular. Review by J-Man

Overall a very solid product providing great filtration. The water is clear and free of debris with no 'odd' flavors. However&#44 the Brita water flow is substantially less than the standard GE filter. It take a long time to fill a glass compared to GE. (Posted on 7/16/12)

Installed in or GE Refrigerator mainly for drinking water. For two people&#44 it lasts longer then recommended. Taste and clarity of water excellent. Still have trouble installing it as you have to push up and turn at the same time in back of the refer. (Posted on 5/7/13)

I have purchased this filter several times. It is always easy to install. We use this in our refrigerator&#44 and whenever we need filtered water that is where we go. For coffee&#44 soups&#44 flavored drinks and many more applications. (Posted on 7/15/12)

Installation requires more time and more strength. GE filters are much easier to install and take up less frig room. I prefer the GE filters. It could be beneficial if you gave us a choice of either GE or Brita. (Posted on 4/28/09)

I found that the Brita filter worked just as well as the GE filter that came with the fridge--works in exactly the same way for installation--nothing to adjust or modify....and it was cheaper! (Posted on 9/14/12)
