Aqua Fresh WF288 Refrigerator Water Filter (Compatible with PuriClean UKF7003AXX)

The AquaFresh WF288 Replacement Filter fits all refrigerators that use the Maytag PuriClean UKF7003AXX water filter.

The Aqua Fresh WF288 Filter removes the following impurities from your drinking water:

• 99.30% of Lead at pH 6.5
• 99.90% of Lead at pH 8.5
• 94.50% of Mercury at pH 6.5
• 96.60% of Mercury at pH 8.5
• 99.92% of Asbestos
• 89.60% of Benzene
• 99.90% of P-Dichlorobenzene
• 99.99% of Cysts
• 98.70% of Carbofuran
• 97.00% of Chlorine
• 99.10% of Turbidity
• 97.60% of Particulates (Class I)

As with all built-in refrigerator water filters, the WF-288 does not remove Fluoride

The AquaFresh WF288 should be replaced every 6 months or when the "change filter" light comes on - whichever comes first.

Installing your new water filter:

1. Twist the old filter a quarter-turn counterclockwise
2. Pull the filter straight down and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically)
3. Push the new filter up into the fridge until it stops
4. Twist the filter a quarter-turn clockwise
5. Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one)

Resetting your "change filter" light:

• Press and hold the lock and light buttons (lock and water on newer fridges) on the dispenser for about 4 seconds, until the indicator light blinks.

If those details don't bother you, it's hard to find a better bargain.	(more info) The Brita filter is really well made, with nice tight seams and crisp edges. The box and label include detailed installation instructions - which is nice since you only change the filter twice a year. The filter removes as many impurities as the best filters we sell, and Brita guarantees it will fit and make the water taste better. Great filter, great price, trusted brand... the Brita is hard to beat.	(more info) The UKF7003 should fit perfectly since Maytag Engineers designed both the filter system and the filter cartridge - there's no guesswork here. If it removed more contaminants, it would be a solid 4 1/2 star filter. Genuine Maytag filter so it's guaranteed to fit.
